• Question: Could there have been another big bang before the one that helped create our universe

      There are different theories in this regard. According to one of these, The current Universe expansion would slow down, and go into a contraction (if there is enough mass in the Universe), which would lead eventually to another Big Bang … so could have been (infinite) number of Big Bangs before.
      But this is just one cosmological theory.

      So many theories and nobody knows for certain. So yes there could have been, but we have no way (currently) to prove it.
