      Probably 1000s, when you can all of the engineers and scientists involved. There are engineers who have to make sure the rover is built and runs properly, plus the spacecraft that will take us to Mars, plus the engineers and scientists working together to ensure that the scientific instruments collect the intended data, can talk to the rover, and can survive launch and landing (for example, when it gets hot or cold or they get shaken about.)
